“The third performance of the evening took place with Enuma Elish, who were a surprise and a total revelation. A simple four member band which makes music to your ears, for its creativity and skill. They were the first Doom Metal band on the island, created for five years ago and which nothing was heard from since then. Several reasons as college studies outside the island have made them stop. But in the last June, they got together to participate in the first edition of AngraRock rock contest. Some say, they took no more than 3 or 4 rehearsals, just enough to make 3 tunes to win the event. Back to the gig... the Enuma Elish presented us with 6 astonishing songs. Well structured and a whole of diverse ideas, where there was a lot of feeling and a lot of profound emotions. If I have to find any known bands to establish a more related style with these guys, I would say that it’s a mixture of Tiamat and Anathema, with a strong rock flavor such as Pink Floyd or even Supertramp, from which they played a very good version to end up their performance. The Enuma Elish are trying to make a promotional CD, which should be expected very soon. The expectations are high... and the band needs to expose itself more .”
