“But not only from rock contests, the Azorean musical scene survives. During the time of the jury deliberation at the closing of the 2001 edition, the winners of AngraRock 2000 rock contest went up stage. A highly interesting band called Enuma Elish which is opening the paths for a fusion between melodic rock/metal with traditional folk music, and local inspired influences.

Well known as a safe proposal in the Azorean music scenario, Enuma Elish expressed their intentions in proceed with the project which consists in touring across the country and launching their debut album to which each member is still improving his own sound.

Despite of that, for their own live performing and for the tracks included on their demoCD, Enuma Elish surprised us for their originality and vocal ability of Paulo Cunha.

We hope that Enuma Elish goals as for all of the rest of the participators in AngraRock contest, won't bound in the horizon of their own islands.”
